Sashiko is a Japanese form of embroidery, originally used to darn worn garments.
Design from “De fil en aiguille”, Hors Series, Fleurs, French cross stitich magazine. The emboidery was inset into a purchased cushion cover. embroidery design size approx. 33cm X 33cm. Stitched on 14ct white Aida using DMC threads.
This cushion design was adapted from a tapestry chart by Wendy Hope-Faulkner of One Off Needlework in the Jane Greenoff magazine “Stitch That”. I love the angels. The embroidery was stitched into a purchased cushion cover.
